15 · Brand Ethos
Who is Bloom & Bone?
Why this matters
Earlier sections define what we sell and why someone should buy it. This one defines who we are and how people should experience us.
Now that we understand the consumer, competition, whitespace and the brands we admire, we need to decide what Bloom & Bone should actually stand for. The goal is not to create more marketing language. The goal is to create a clear internal compass that helps us make better decisions across product, website, Amazon, social, creators, customer service, content and paid media.
01 · Brand essence
If someone asked "what is Bloom & Bone?" what would we say?
Example, not the answer
- “Premium, playful, trustworthy”
02 · Why do we exist?
Beyond selling dog supplements, why should Bloom & Bone exist?
This should become a genuine belief system, not a corporate mission statement.
Example, not the answer
- “Proactive wellness can become part of everyday life.”
- “Taking care of a dog should feel simple, not clinical.”
- “Science and personality do not have to be opposites.”
03 · Brand personality
Where do we sit between the extremes?
There is no correct answer. The value is in making intentional tradeoffs.
